Professional Massage Therapy in Mooloolaba

With so many types of massage available, the hardest part is choosing the right one for you. Whether you’re new to experiencing massage or enjoy them weekly, its important to understand the types of massage and which suits you and your changing needs.

Perhaps you are new to massage? Then consider enjoying a Relaxation or Swedish style massage. This is often the best way to begin your massage journey but be aware, massage can be very addictive!! Although the name may suggest it, Swedish Massage does not come from Sweden. It is designed to take the stress out of your body with long pushing, sweeping and relaxing massage movements. It is designed to relax and release tight muscles aches and pains, stimulate circulation, flush the circulatory system and restore a better range of motion. It is important to remember the pressure can be adapted at any time throughout the massage and your therapist will ask your preference and will check that it is to your liking.

If you are a regular to massage, consider changing the style of massage. This will depend on how you are feeling, which areas you want to focus on and any specific aches and pains you are experiencing. If your body is crying out in pain and looking for relief, a deep and firm massage is the answer. Make sure you speak to your therapist about any sore areas and discuss how to best treat them.

Another alternative could be the Fusion Hot Stone Massage. This massage is perfect to melt away the aches and pains, drawing the heat into the body, promoting better blood circulation and releasing any fluids your holding onto and detoxifying the body.

For the Mums-to-be, we understand that nurturing a growing baby is such a big change to your body. Let us take care of and nurture you. We will ensure you are completely comfortable by asking you to lay on one side with your baby belly supported. We then use our stress relief and relaxation techniques to soothe your busy body. Coconut oil is applied to help you feel calm, focusing on tired feet, legs and lower back to leave you feeling relaxed and cared for.

Let our experienced therapists gently but effectively massage your lymphatic system. The lymphatic system influences the whole body. Having this system working effectively is vital to good health. The lymphatic system cleans and nourishes cells as well as providing a pathway to discard waste, toxins and excess fluid.

Tips for when you are having a massage

Imagine a place where the only person who matters is you

Talk to your therapist about any aches and pains

If the pressure is not to your liking, let us know and we can change to suit

Breathe to receive the full benefits

Don’t be scared to fall asleep, this is the biggest compliment we can get!

Discuss what sort of massage you would like and ask any questions

Relax and let go

Become lost in the serenity and calming music to help soothe and care for your mind

Reflexology

We also recommend reflexology which can be incorporated into any of our 60- or 90-minute massage treatments. Reflexology promotes wellness to organs and systems of the body through applying appropriate pressure to reflex points on the feet and hands.
